Hood Scoop/Cowl?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: Redwingvksm

Due to the 5.8 goin' in my 1987 Lincoln Town Car, gonna need a new hood to clear the deck height.

Anyone ever see an old Town Car like mine w/ a cowl/scoop? Any ideas? (post a pic of another car that resembles to what you are talking about)

I'm probally gonna make this myself so there are pretty few limits - and i DO want this to be a functional hood scoop. None of that glue-on crap.

Post away!

(My car just to give a refresher on what the hood looks like)

Here is what I was thinking of - this style but on the SIDES of the nose of the hood. That way it's kinda hidden and doesn't bring TOO much attention, but you guys give up some ideas!
