Has anyone ever had there ring and pinnion gears fail? apparantly thats what mine did.

I was doing about 50 and i heard a loud thud from the bakc which shot my car forword and then it would not engage anymore.

Werid thing is, that when i put my car into park it still rolls around like when im in neutral.

When i put the car in Drive/Reverse i hear a nasty clunk.

what do i do?

time to rebuild your rear end! the pinion gear has stripped or the ring gear has stripped. have fun.!!

haha ill figure it out, the way i look at it, this is a 10 year old car. and everything is basically failing at the same time. but once i get it fixed itll run like shes new right?
