Gen1 and Gen2 moonroof

Anyone know if there is a difference? I would suspect not but I've heard from someone that they are different sizes.

Different mechanics for sure. Don't know if they are the same glass or not. Does not appear to be the same.

really? That's odd, the roof line hasn't changed, I wonder if its possible to swap them out if I use the entire piece. I think the T-Bird uses the same moonroof so I may have to start looking in the bone yard

Different supplier I think. On my Parts list it has glass 93-96 then 97-98 so they are different.

Housing is 93-98 but rails are 93-96 then 97-98 - see image.

that's odd, since some of the parts are the same I would assume that the glass is the same size but the rails are different? Maybe there are different mouting tabs for them? Where's Max when you need him
