Boycott $hitgo

Tell Chavez to go blow and pass by any Citgo.

I just want to use this moment to put things in perspective.

How often have we seen people around here link to sites link commondream.org to support a liberal viewpoint? It happens all the time.

Citgo is entirely owned by the Venezuela government, Petroleos de Venezuela. Every dollar that Citgo earns is used to finance Hugo Chavez. Chavez being the radical communist who just made that ridiculous speak before the UN and today is on record as calling our President an "alcoholic and a sick man."

The left wing of this country at Common Dreams.org isn't supporting a boycott of this company, this enemy of America. THEY ARE ENCOURAGING AMERICANS TO BUY FROM THEM!!!

They are supporting a "buy-cott" of Citgo.

Next time someone posts something from CommonDreams, I just want everyone to remember where those people are coming from.

That maybe be true. Perhaps I've mispoken. It's an understandable mistake since guys like you often repeat the same points as those made on that website.

(I'm still pretty confident that at least Phil has sourced them before, just without including a hyperlink to the original article.)

Did Chavez control the government in 2005?
Did the government have complete control of Citgo in 2005?
And had Chavez started making trouble, supporting regional terror (FARC), aligning himself with Castro, running his communist dicatorship, and make antagonistic gestures to the US by 2005?

If the aricle were from 1989, you'd have a point. One year ago? No, the situation was exactly the same, minus the sulphur smell in NY.

But, if you'd like to make an argument to the contrary, please do. Tell me how endorsing Chavez one year ago is any less offensive for liberals to do now than one year ago? The name calling at the UN is hardly as offensive as
