Airbags

I have a 94 mark that I am putting back together after being wrecked
My question is to, replace the inside airbags do I just plug them in? I don't want them to go off.

There is a ton of warnings and procedures for checking out the airbag systems in the 94 service manual. Also, according to the manual, you will need an "air bag simulator" tool so you can test the system without connecting the airbags.

You can borrow my manual if you want to read up on it.

Thansk Bill,
I have bought a book, just haven't looked at it yet

I hope you sister is better !

No problem Steve. Enjoy your reading. I'd read the whole chapter before I did anything though, just to be safe. I glanced through it and basically it looks like you need to inspect the modules and wiring for any damage. Then hook up the simulator and see if you get any errors from the air bag light (well, a little more than that).

My sister has been back to work for two weeks now and she's doing great.
Thanks.

If the bags were popped, you will need a new module. It's the blue box in the passenger side of the underdash area.
