Those chips actually do work a little bit by tricking the ECU into thinking you have lower IAT temperatures so the computer advances the timing a bit... you might pick up up to 10 hp but probably more like 5hp. Not the best way of advancing the timing though...

That supercharger looks like a heater blower motor fabbed on a backside of a cone filter. Stupid!!
