Please look at my this link for help with understanding my issue. I think the second picture shows the problem the best.
Basically I took my car to a local shop to get the pinstripes taken off. The pinstripes on my LSe where painted on so they didnt have to take off the clear coat to get rid of the stripes.
My issue is on the driver side the car almost looks scruffed up. I am thinking I might need to buff that part and the car would then look fine. Does it look like I am right? Also I have never buffed a car before so I was looking for some pointers.
As always thanks
LLOYD

if you've never polished before have somebody do it 4 you. a fine to medium cut cleaner should fix that up no problem.

dont really know anyone that knows how to do it. So I would have to pay to get it done this is why I was hoping for some help. I guess I will ask around some.
I don't think it's rocket science, but I don't know your capabilities. Just be prepared--it could cost you a lot (eg, having a paint shop fix it) if you make a mistake.

i think its cause they did it wrong.. when i did mine i had a friend use a buffer to wet sand and buff the car with a very FINE gritt of paper and I still have 1 MINOR swirl mark on my paint...
they prolly did the same thing since it was painted on and used too much of a strong gritt of sand paper to take it off.. it would explain the paint scuffing..
from my understanding was that the ONLY way to get rid of those lines with out any trace was to repaint.. u can get it close but not perfect.. it's painted on.. so sand it down.. and repaint.. if not jus attempt to sand down the part u dont want and dont eat up the clear coat before u get swirl marks..
thats my input based on experience.. i suck with paint but it sounds right to me.. let me know if i was of any help..

PS.. after I buffed the car most of the marks came off but the shop u went to should have done that.. did u take it back to them? what did they say to u?

basically I didnt notice it when I picked the car up on that friday. So saturday rolls around and I notice right away. They are closed I take it in monday and they called me crazy. They said I did it.
ers! I hate this place and I am never going to it ever again

if you want them to get it done u should go there on ur day off and when a proposed client is on the way to the shop u should give them pictures of ur car and tell them what happened.. plus if they paint the car i think there is a 30 day return policy or something.. i would fight it..
