Iraq takes over miltary command ....

Leave it to our free and impartial press not to cover a MOST historic moment in the Iraq War against terrorists.

Let's all spend our time ruminating over Clinton being obsessed with bj's in the oral office while Osama was planning to kill 10's of thousands. Remember, an hour later and there would have been 10,000 more people in those towers. Ahhh, what wonderful times those were.

You're missing the context. Some of the liberals complaining about the miniseries think that by merely refrencing the Monica Lewinski situation in the film it is bias and should not be viewed.

Apparently, Democrats have grown very comfortable with the staus quo, with the main stream media never showing anything critical of them. This movie is shaking up their world.

So rather than focusing on the military turn over in Iraq. Rather than talking about the video that was just released of Bin Laden with the 9/11 terrorist, they would rather make veiled threats towards ABC's broadcasting license in an effort to prevent an unflattering, though realistic, portrayal of them on the television.

I could care less about what liberals think of the miniseries. Frankly, I can't wait to see it. I was just commenting about the BJ remark. So the guy got blown and got busted. Yes he was wrong to do it with his intern, and he paid the price. But anytime someone wants to bash Clinton it's all about his BJ, or "man he must really love cigars..." It just seems so petty as opposed to the real problems in the world.

Some people are disgusted by the fact he was screwing a young intern in the oval office. That's clearly evidence of low character and horrible judgement. But that's not the issue.

And he never paid a price. It wasn't just the hummer, but the obstruction of justice, the witness tampering, and the perjury that accompanied it. And that's why he was impeached.

But seeing as how this is a political forum, it's important to note, the Democrats in congress, along with Clinton and his administration, are actively trying to pressure ABC, implying they will take their license, into pulling the movie entirely. They don't want it to be broadcast at all.

As for the real problems in the world, the BJ incident profoundly affect how he focused on preventing terrorist attack and the war in the Balkans. By virtue of that, it has to be noted in it's proper context.

I recognize that this movie can't be 100% factual. It is not a documentary, it's a miniseries. It has to deal with the constraints of time and entertainment. If this movie is dishonest or misleading, then I would support ABC removing it from the schedule, but all accounts I've read so far don't indicate that. As far as I've read, it simply addresses issues of our recent history that the DNC would just assume we didn't know. If it gets the story right, then it should be left to air as it is. Just as it is critical of Clinton, it seems to be honesty critical of Bush's first 8 months as well.

How bout a scene showing Sandy Berger stuffing national archives down his trousers. That would make entertaining TV. Or how 'bout Madeline Albright french kissing (actually toasting) Kim Jon Il. I'd like to see any of those scenes.

Heck, I'd even like to see a replay of Billdoe pounding his fist on the lecturn, teaching us all that oral sex is not sex and what the meaning of 'is' really 'is'.
