Not trying to thread highjack, but I have a quick question for ya.

I've been trying to find out where the fuel tank is located on these cars (i.e. before, after, above the rear axle etc.) and also what material it is made out of (steel, plastic).

Thanks so much for any help you may have. And good luck with the sale !!

I would say there is a 110% chance its made of steel, as far as location... I have no idea... Most Lincolns have it between the trunk and the rear axle

It is mounted behind the rear axle. Right at the back of the car. The filler is behind the license plate.

Ooops, I forgot this year the filler is up on the left quarter, but the tank is still in the back.
