Powerstroke Tranny Coolers

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Who has one installed? Would you be kind as to share some pics? I got mine from Max the other day, and the effing thing looks pretty big. It's an 03 F250 MY cooler for the Torqshift tranny.

Thanks a bunch.

Sure thing, we did this one about 5 years ago.

Thank you Sir. Now off to get new plumbing done to go from the Tranny to the cooler.

Incidentally, which is the output (Hot) port on the Tranny? I'd like to feed the top of the cooler with the "hot" line, and return the cooled oil through the bottom line of the cooler.

i got 1 from an 04 F150 5.4 with the cooling package sitting here. appears to be the same part.

On the driver side of the radiator- the top line is the line that returns to the transmission. That is the line you want to tap into. You'll need these fittings.

Thanks Lally. Problem is, I don't have the stock radiator. Had a Griffin Radiator made, and I requested no tranny cooler on it, since I knew I'd be running a separate Cooler.

Should still hook up pretty much the same if the lines are still there, you might need two females though...

Thats what I have been using since 97', hooks up the same way.

Hey! I feel cheated! I didn't get a nifty Griffin Sticker! I want my $$ back!

Geno, Did you have them make yours with with without the OEM Oil Cooler?
Is it basically a Tbird Radiator? That's what they told me when I sent in my OEM Radiator as a sample.

And Those AN fittings look tEh secsy. I might have to look into them.

I got mine through Summit Racing as a universal part #, I just got the one that was the closest in size to the stocker and made brackets and welded the cap hole shut. $189.00 shipped.
