Where to start (stock Mark)

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

heres my situation. Stock 96 Mark VIII 84k miles

Ive replaces the brakes, oil wil synthetic and replaced the alternator (all oem)

Now its time to see what I can start to do.

What I would like out of the car is better gas mileage without comprimising power (if possible)

Items Im thinking about doing:

Aero Exhaust
"Big Three" Wiring upgrade (Will eventually put in a stereo)
J-Mod

So far this is all I have.

I dont have a ton of cash so anything little that you can think of that will help is apprecieated.

Is the stereo going to help your gas mileage?

The normal response to this is- low restriction true dual exhaust, improved breathing, and maybe a performance chip.

And of course new fuel filter, air filter, and good plugs and wires. All the regular maintenance items are the most important to do, including suspension parts.

Oh and do the J mode to the tranny! See the Tech section for details.

Exhaust, shift kit, maybe an sct tuner. That there would run you about 800.
