Can Someone Help I Have To Hold The Gas Or My Car Will Cut Off ....

I Was Just Wondering Could Someone Help, I Have A 97 Mark 8 Lsc,150,000k At First It Started Out When I Start The Car I Had To Hit The Gas Hard To Get It Running Now I Have To Hold My Foot On The Gas So It Will Idle When I Let My Foot Off Of The Gas It Cuts Off And Sometimes It Will Stay Running And It Idles Up To 500rpm And When I Put My Foot On The Gas It Cuts Off Does Anyone Have An Idea What Could Be Wrong, I Got A Diagnostic Done It Said Nothing Was Wrong I Have No Check Engine Light On... Please Help..

Idle valve could be plugged up, or the IAC motor could be bad?

mine was doing the same thing a week ago. It was the idle air control valve. A quick cleaning was all it needed!

where is the idle air control valve located is it easy to get to ??

the first pic is a close up its the thing with the wires and 2 bolts holding it on and the second is how u see it as looking at the eng (now all the gen 1 guys will be jealous )
