I have the tank out and the old fuel pump out of the sending unit. This new pump is slightly different then the old one the filter is a bit of a different design and it doesnt want to slip into the retainer(the bottom where its got the two metal prong like things) that strattles the pump bottom of the pump. I just want to know if you guys modified the metal part that holds the pump in and if you changed the fuel hose that goes on the pump.

Thanks in advance
