It depends what are you planning to do with them. Both of these double coil subs (2 ohm and 4 ohm) give you the ability of using a 2 ohm or 4 ohm amps. I think the 2 ohm versions are also able to work in 1 ohm form (correct me if I am wrong). But if you are using 2 or more subs, you can change the wiring and get lower impendence from your subs. Your amp has to be comparible with powering the subs at low impendence.
For instance the same amp that is producing 2 ohm output, is making more power, but it might overheat earlier in that mode than if it's in 4 ohm mode. Anyway, it depends how many subs you are going to use and what kind of amp(s) are you going to use. |
