When you kick the a/c on they don't actually overheat but the gauge climbs almost near the top and that'a about 235+ degrees. The fan works fine and the radiator/condesor are both clear. We can't figure it out either. Good luck!

Turning the a/c on brings the condensor temperture upto about 170-180 degrees,which then is passed on to the radiator as the air is pushed/pulled through it. usually at this point the radiator is just sufficiently cooling the engine /trans and the a/c puts it over the top. This was exactly my issue with my 1988 turbocoupe,the rad and condensor looked perfect but after months of futzing with it i replaced radiator and it cooled beautifully ever since. |
