ive been trying to figure out and im stumped. there are some pics through out the site that just wont show on my 'puter, no little red x no outline just big open space the cursor dosent even point at it like the 'puter dosent even know that its there, but sometimes when someone quotes the post where the pic is it will have a link and i can click the link and see the pic like the markviii chrome piller pics, theres a mini meet thread that dosent show any thing and none of the anim smilies move. ive defraged and cleaned up the hard drive etc, but so still no luck so come on all you not 'puter dum people help yup it aint doin nuthin

The link thing is something the other puter is doing, not yours. For example, vB forums software (what LvC is on) can be set up do display pictures in a thread, or small thumbnails, or even just links. Then, the software can be further set up to not load pics for unregistered/non logged on users. That is, assuming the pictures were uploaded to the forums server.
Then, some people have no clue about the [img][/img] tag, and they just copy and paste the link to where ever the ictures they want to show are hosted at.
Post up a screenshot of the link, that way we can tell you if it's hosted off the forum server or on the forum server.
As far as you not seeing images at all... eh.. you must be running windBlows. /mac snob

as for the links it only works when people quote the post with the pic in it and then in their quote there is the link, then i click it and i can see it, but if i quote it there will be no link so im still screwed

If you can't see thos epics, make sure imageshack is not on your blocked list. I'm not too familiar with Microslops nternet Exploder, but IIRc there is an allowed list somewhere in the options/prefferences.
Also, if you are running some sort of a firewall like Za, or Norton Internet security (what a joke), you may want to check there as well.

Got it Chicken, some photos will not show up on mine unless I turn off Zonealarm ( my firewall), try it if you've got a firewall and if you're not sure ask Ms Chicken. Worth a shot.
