Police package Dodge Charger on the roads

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I thought i'd just give a heads up to anyone that hasnt seen them on the roads yet. They're out there, easiest way to tell is the plain black wheels. I passed an all white unmarked car the other day and its a GREAT sleeper cop car. There is also a business over by me that i pass 3 days a week that takes new police package vehicles straight from the factory and does all the lighting, wiring, decals, etc. turning them into full blown patrol cars. Pretty cool stuff seeing atleast 20-30 vehicles, all types, sitting in their lot waiting to get done up. Been wanting to get a picture to show. Anyway, keep an eye out for the Charger now.

yep.. been seeing them here.. my tax money really is paying off, those cops really do need chargers....

I'm sure the pollice in Europe don't need BMW's, but they drive them.

They get new cars every few years anyway. They always have. Used to be Chevy's, then Fords, now they are getting back around to Chrysler products. Remember the Blues Brothers and their Dodge Monaco...Cops tires, Cop shocks, Cop motor.....good ol' days.

The cops in my town are using Chevy Tahoes. How is that efficient?

Posted by: daves2000ls

tahoes in town? ive seen a couple in the country but not in town, well, i take that back, i have seen one sheriff tahoe. but, yeah, ive seen a charger cop car, oddly enough, it was on the way back from the quarry where the rednecks stole from me. oh yeah, in little rock there is a C5 corvette cop car, if i was a cop thats what i would want to drive.

So what? It's just a Dodge.

Now THAT'S a police car.

Posted by: CadillacETC1997

i agree that takes the cake!

throughout my life i have seen cop edition vipers, corvettes, mustangs, tahoe, explorers, expeditions, crown victorias, caprices, mirauders, suburbans, taurus, impalas, malibus, pretty much any american made car. just look at their license plate if you are suspicious, that will tell you right away

around here the sherifs use impounded drug dealer vehicles.. lol.. one being a maroon lexus gs300 with 20`s and a chevy s-10 with 20`s and airbags... both have huge sherif decals on the side of them. kinda sucks for the individuals who got them taken away seeing them driving around still, but then again they jus go out and buy another one.

Here is a picture of a charger that we did the grahics and window tint at my shop. It is a V6 with a top speed of around 138, and yes they are 17" hub caps not Alum. wheels.

Most of 'em get the V6. Price is on par with a Crown Vic and only the pursuit cops that traditionally got Camaros and Mustangs get the SRT-8 so I don't know what your gripe is.

I'm pretty sure the Italian Lambo police edition also has a built-in espresso maker, and I'm not kidding!

Our city PD has been driving them for awhile. The Charger is ugly as sin, and the B&W cop livery makes them even worse.

Posted by: Fla02LS

The one i saw was unmarked and blended in great. Had dark ass windows too so you couldnt notice the interior lights and such. Here in Orlando there are like 8 million Dodge Charger rental cars, so the unmarked police car can creep up on you.

Thats a crappy cop car!! The limited amount of chargers around here have V8s...they roll.

Posted by: lexmarkz00

^ They may be fast, but at the end of the day they're still Chargers.

Mmmmmmmmm.... French and Electric Blue of the MSP

Posted by: SoonerLS

OK, so there is a color combination on a Charger worse than black and white.

AHHHHH flash back!!!

Do you still have the Registry Cops driving around?

Posted by: Fla02LS

I guess every state has their colors, but that is a brutal combination. Feel sorry for those officers. Almost as funny as Florida's State Troopers having to wear a stetson hat.
