Alright, I bought my head unit, and before I get it all done up, I need to know a couple of things. first off the background is I got a really sweet deal on the Alpine IVA-W200 (http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/product...model=IVA-W200) Really good deal and everything. 854, with install, all necessary wires, iPod connector ($30.00) and Warranty. I have a 300 Watt power-inverter that I want to put in my car as well.

Will this heavily affect my battery-life, and will it eventually lead to the death of my alternator? Where should I put the inverter for best results? Any suggestions, or advice?

It shouldn't.

My only advice is to keep the inverter as far away from the head unit as possible; this will prevent any alternator noise from interrupting the system...
