For anyone who hasn't looked into the July Meet. I want everyone to know that there is an open invitation to all LvC members who would like to attend the July LvC meet. I have been working hard to make this a fun event for everyone. So come on hear's a great chance to meet some of your LvC friends, show off your Lincoln Mark VIII and have a great time.
I would love to see a bunch of Mark VIII owners at the meet.... What an excuse to take the car out for a nice cruise...
I know for some of you on the east or west coast it's a little far but we do have members coming from NJ and AZ to the meet. Those of you in MO, IA, and MN, hears a chance for a meet a little closer.
We have members coming from OH, MI, and IL... Let's have some fun...

I'm very interested in going....but... damn, that's a hell of hike from Central-West Florida.
I'm looking into the details right now. Is there any likelihood you'll run out of tent space?

I'm Picking up Pepperman in Chicago on Thursday the 13th. If you want to fly in to O'hare on the 13th you are more than welcome to come along.
MsM8tress (Debi) is picking up brentalan on the 14th at O'hare, plus Juibit, Conti94 and Nyssa are coming from Chicago on the 14th. There are plenty of ways to make arrangements and we have a month to figure it out. Just let us know how you'd like to make the trip.
Also Redwingvksm is coming Detroit.
Then Torqumonkey is flying in from AZ and renting a car. Find out where he's landing and I'm sure he'd bring you the rest of the way.
As for my back yard.... I check with the city and there is no limit on how many tents I let camp in my back yard. I have about 3/4th of an acre of space for tents so we can fit a bunch of tents...

I'm landing in Madison Wisc. on the 13th. I'll have plenty of floor space at the hotel in fennimore and a minimum wait shower.
Cost 'ya a dollar a minute for water and ten bucks a towel...

I did the trip two years ago when I picked up a car in NY... Trips not that bad if you get a good morning start. I was in NY by late afternoon early evening. Also ask brentalan as he drove last year to Chicago from NJ. He's Flying in to Chicago and Debi's picking him up there. I'm 3.5 hours from Chicago.

I'm looking at about a 20+ hour drive...
It's really all hanging on whether I get my new transmission shipped in time and the demands of work.

Hey everyone things are looking good.... I'm getting more PM of people claiming that they are coming... many are not listed on the sign up... so Let's go!
Can't wait for the meet and the fun. We can and NY, NJ, and KS to the list of state of members saying that they are coming, plus it looks good so far for FL...
We are up to 20% of the USA covered... Let's shoot for 25%
I just got done talking with my friend who is a member of an area Muscle Car club and he said he's got between 20 to 50 cars coming.... Let's have some fun....

You really don't have a bad drive... Take I-90 to LaCrosse and then 61 south to Boscobel.

There is still a lot of Room in my Back Yard and I mean a lot!! All are welcome
Right now about 6 members are camping
Jibit, Conti94, Nyssa, Redwingvksm, JD, 94m5.
I have one more tent available for someone who would need to use one,
and I'm sure I could find more if need be.
3 members are in my house Pepperman, brentalan, and MsM8tress.
I have one bunk bed available for someone who wouldn't mind a climb.
2 members have found rooms outside Boscobel. chickenviii found a spot at Napps Motel in Fennimore, and torquemonkey is booked at Fennimore Hills
There may be rooms available in
Prairie Du Chien about 30 min. away for those wanting something more comfortable. Also Richland Center, 30 min. away also, may have some rooms still.
You will need to do a motel search of the area for rooms. Remember Boscobel isn't a large Metro area and the closest city with a pop. over 100,000 is 1.5 hrs away.
one with a pop. over 50,000 is 1 hr away. LOL....
Friday - Meet at the Home of Mespock - those camping in back yard some time to set up tents. Refreshments on the Porch! If Pepperman hasn't finished them all off...
Depending upon when everyone or most everyone get here -
7:00 PM - Suicide Burgers, Refreshments, and Bon Fire at Da Kikers (about 2 miles from my house)
9:00 PM - Those wanting to check out local establishments head to town (Remember Heather is working this weekend - All unrulies are taken to the local Psych Ward for a nice restful stay and counseling - I'm figuring that Debi will be attending). Those wanting to stay and enjoy the fire and company are welcome to stay.
Saturday
8:00 AM - Local Swimming Pool open for showers and freshening up. (For those who are camping)
9:00 - 11:30 AM - LvC Member line up cars Main Street Boscobel and Breakfast at the Unique Cafe.
12:00 AM - Gather and organize for Cuirse -
1:00 PM - Car Cruise with other local Classic Muscle Cars and Hot Rods
3:00 PM - Meet back in Boscobel for Car Show and Beach Party
All LvC members and Car Show members $5.00 admission to Beach Part
Car Show and Beach Party 3:00 to Dark
Food and Beverages available at Beach Party.
Too Bad Debi will miss out on most of the fun as she'll be in group session with Heather in the Psych unit LOL...
Sunday
Wake up at some time - Showers at City Pool.. Breakfast... and the rest is from the hip.
We'll be posting pics daily...

sounds like a drunken good time! wish I could make it up. I was gonna suprise everyone and show up but my check for my Boeing stock that I sold hasn't shown up yet... maybe next time.

Jeeez I hate to borrow money I'm pretty much taped out that's why I am selling my stock, so I can pay my Dad and my best friend back what I owe them for helping me out. I am also getting a insurance settlement from Boeing here in a couple of months for all my repetitive strain injuries I suffered over the course of 18 years at Boeing.
