So finally my neighbor sucame to the pressures of the sexiest mark8 in town, and broke down and said hes thinkin of sellin his firebird for a mark8. He realy is into the gen 2's (98) cuz of the better trans. But imo the 96 lsc is the best of the best.

Sooooo....lets keep our eyes pealed. something local prefered. 96 lsc/97/98s

Other than the headlights, what's really "better" about the '96?

The dual-exhaust didn't result in it being any faster than the '93. So, I guess it's just the perforated leather seats and harder climate control buttons?

that, the OBD2 and the fact that Gen 1s are faster, and they dont have the neon bulb that dies.

obd 2 has more potential for fun with supercharging and turbos....besides, the gen 1s just look evil

I thought the 93s were actually just a little bit faster than even the '96s?

But, if I were to buy another MarkVIII, I'd look for 96LSC also.

93 and 94 are the fastest years, stock.

so you say, dont worry, youll get all the 93 and 94 owners to back ya up.

96 lsc imo is NOT faster than the other ones, i think its actually the slowest of all the gen 1s but its got all the options and potential that anyone could want...besides its sexy.

This is so true.... I still like the looks of the Gen 1's over the Gen 2's.... Nothing bad to say about the Gen 2's but I do like the more agressive look of the Gen 1's.

Oh and I think my next Mark VIII will be a 96. That will complete the Gen 1 colletion...
