Replacing the driver's seat with a passenger one?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: Calabrio

My driver's seat leather is showing considerable wear. Needless to say, it's easier to find fresh passenger seats for the Mark VIII than it is to find drivers seats.

Can I mount a passenger seat in the drivers position? I imagine the control buttons would be on the wrong side, but would there be alignment or obstruction problems?

Also, doesn't anyone know the approximate cost of having the driver's seat reupholstered at a professional shop?
