If you refresh they will more or likely eventually show up, thanks for the compliment.

Yeah, I know. The cable modem at work just is out of date. But I think I got enough pictures of great looking cars in my head. Just from the ones that loaded up.

I just want to know how much bandwidth those high-res pics sucked up. No wonder this site's so friggin' slow.

Posted by: ONEBADMK8

They are 300 dpi and they are on my OWN server.

I do agree. The site has been moving a little slower the past few days. . .

OK one more time:

It has NOTHING to do with the site being slow or fast.

So if you think its been slow for the past few days then maybe something is wrong with your connection or something? I noticed zero change for Months.

Can you explain to me how a cable modem gets 'Out of date.' Most cable modems made within the last 6 years or so have been DOCSIS compliant.

Which is to say generally the hardware limitation is about 9MB both ways. Usually the limitations you see are set by the dynamic config received at the time of boot up from a BOOTP or TFTP server. Your ISP sells you X amount of bandwidth and that config is the control mechanism used.

I think most cable companies are selling residential at 1.5/384 or 3/768

Please elaborate...
