HIDs Installed...

I know this has been done by a few people...I just finished swapping my factory halogens out for the OEM HID housings...wasn't going to do them as it would run about 900 new but I found a set brand new on eBay so I picked them up. As expected, it's pretty much a direct swap, I had to shave a little on the harness plug but other than that they bolt right in.

I just took some pics...don't really do it justice as to how awesome they are! Now I just need some Silverstar or Hoen bulbs for the fogs and high beams.

those look pretty hot, what kelvin are they? and i know ive only seen this once but id like to put the projector lights on my V8 LS any ideas on how?

Mine are the OEM HIDs, I think they are ~4300K.

how much do you have in the swap total? (headlights,headlight mounting panel etc)

is it the bulb or the transformer that determines the kelvin rating ?

I got both headlights for a little less than 600, they were advertised as used but they appear to be brand spankin' new. That was all I needed as I already had an '03, no brackets or anything had to be changed

I just had mine done as well. I used the 6000k bulbs and theyre VERY nice.

Also, I found a site that sells the HID kit for my fog lights, I'm gonna get those too. Then after the fogs, I am going to get the high beams. I'm thinking about going with like 8000 or 10,000 for the high beams, just to see what the color is like.
