These kids comming out of tech school with ASE cert. are comming out of a sponsered care maker class that really shows them how to replace stuff instead of FIXING it and all the learn are the basics of how an engine and rest work. I have yet to see any ASE cert class that has the class build and engine or tranny from the bottom up. That is why they are called Technisions and not machanics|

Well either way i still don't trust the dealerships. What i would do is get it look at by a Transmition specialist (Tranny shop) to see what the real deal is. Could be something simple that a seasoned tranny guy could fix in no time or just get it rebuilt so that at least you have some kind of warranty and for GOD SAKES don't take it to AAMACO
