245/35/20 vs. 255/35/20

I currently have 255/35/20 tires on the back of my 05 LS8. I have 245/35/20 tires in the front. I need to replace the rears. I know the benefit of getting the 245's in the rear will allow me to rotate them....but what are some of the other advantages/disadvantages of each. I am not much of a tire expert. Thanks.

Well, 245s will look the same as your front ones. Also, you won't have much rubbing problems.

I really dont have much rubbing now......how about ride quality....which size would look better??

Posted by: HyeLifeLS

255 would be better because of the higher profile.

hey andy the 255 is better. better traction from the rear looks better because its wider not by much but is wider and will help you handle better. bad thing is it will not be interchangeable to a certain extent of course you can still rotate but will look a lil weird with wider tires up front. in case you havent gotten tires yet here ya go
