Anyone Here Paint the Chrome Rear License Plate Trim Themselves?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: P Rock

I'm thinking about painting it silver to match the car like the LSE's. Anyone tackle this themselves? If so, what are the neccessary steps?

I did it. Removed the rear assembly, popped the chrome piece off (probably not necessary). Sanded, primed, painted, and clear coated.

great instructions, I got the lse stuff, but that would have been a great alternative.

Great writeup GrayGhost1. I will start gathering parts needed and wait for a nice day. Thanks

The black part of the grill comes off the chrome trim very easy. Kind of strait forward if you look at the back of the grill when it is off the car.
