ABS accumulator replacement

Has anyone replaced an ABS accumulator?

I am assuming i have to bleed the brakes again after i have have done it?

The last time i tired to bleed the brakes after i removed the hydraulic actuator assembly to replace the pressure switch, i could not get the air out of the drivers side rear. I kept bleeding the fluid out under the system pressure, but i could not get rid of the stream of air bubbles in the fluid. Has anyone else had this experience? Is there a special procedure for bleeding the brakes if you remove this assembly?

I followed this article when i was bleeding the brakes, this is the best article i have seen about the brakes on the MK VII (i missed the bit about swaping the accumulator withojut re-bleeding tho!)

However, i just cannot get the air out of the drivers rear. I read in my haynes manual that if you disturb the Hydraulic assembley, you need special equipment to get the air out of it!

Bleeding the rears is easy. Yo really need to get a shop manual to first really understand the system. After you do, you'll see that one person and a tube and a jar and a couple quarts of fluid can get the job done.

If you've never done that or the accumulator before, then please please please read all of the safety warnings in all of the articles and shop manuals BEFORE you attempt even touching the system.
