Well I ran my LSE for the 1st time last weekend and ran 3 15.3s, a15.4,and a 15.500, the best being a 15.327@91.92mph. I had to get use to using the SST and of course practice the launch. I got the best numbers once I got a launch technique down and the 60's got into the high 2.2s. Unfortunately once I got my launch in place, didn't take long, I started to get my SST system out of wack. So I left the track knowing I left my best time to come. I ran again this weekend hoping to hit a good launch and SST together for possibly a 15.2 or I figured a high 15.1 wasn't out of the question. To my surprize right after arriving with a hot car I ran my best run.
RT... .233
60'... 2.269
330... 6.374
1/8... 9.739
MPH... 73.36
1000'... 12.619
1/4... 15.041
MPH... 93.21
The rest of the night I hit 15.1s 3 times with 60's at 2.265, 2.286, and 2.359. That last 60' I screwed up my chance for a 14.99 as even with the wheel spin I still caught a 15.166. I even had a 15.215 run with a bad SST 1-2 early shift, that run had my best 60' at 2.262. So I ran better than expected and still have my 20s on. My new goal is to hit a 14.99 with the 20s and with a good launch and a little time finding the right shift points, its right there. Once that is done I will be getting a tune for hopefully a 14.8. Last I will pull the 20s to see what she can do with a little less rolling weight. rocket 5979 was there also and caught my last run on video. Its not the best run and is the worst 60' of the night, she broke them free more than normal, I was trying to launch a little harder. Didn't work. Enjoy the video, more to come.

Decided to post this here instead of the high peformance board.

not bad man.. is ur car stock? mine 02 LS v8 did 15.4@92 mph with everthing stock even rims (full tank, no weight reduction)... so im guessing i should be able to hit 14.9 with some practice if ur stock with 20's...

Well actually I have the LSK Aluminum Intake with KKM that Ken sells and the Magna-flow cat-back. You should get close to 14.99 but hard to say how close as I never ran stock. How were you launching? I can hit consistent 2.2 60's with a lite brake launch, I don't think the mods help with that much and stock it should be doable. This will get you down a little more. How are you shifting? Have to WOT in D5 before you move over to SST to stay in 1st, not to late in the rpms as it'll shift on ya. So far I seem to pull the best times shifting a little earlier than rock5979 does with his 05. This may change with a tune.

I brake launck at 2K rpm's and the best 60' i gor was like 2.37x.. also i dont have the SST tranny so i just go down to 1st gear and it stays in it i shift at 6Krpm but its a little slow so it actualy shifts at 6.5k... next time i go i will try to shift earlier because my car seems to be slowing down once it hits 6K rpms...

Moving the shifting up will shave time. I shift 1-2 at 5600-5700, it actually shifts about 6100-6200. 2-3 at about 5800 which shifts at about 6100-6200. Never drove a non-SST, so I can't say if its hard or not. Also the SST seems to tighten up the shifts abit, so that could be an advantage in time, maybe.

yea i never drove a SSt so i dont know.. but ur defenetly right that if i shift sooner the car seems to accelerate better then if i take it all the way up to 6500.. at the track i took it to redline all 3 gears and i did 15.4 im hoping to do better next time i go... gonna shift earlier.
