Ceramic or semi-metallic pads?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Which is better for cross drilled/slotted rotors. Ceramic or semi-metallic. Thanks in advance. Aaron.

Ceramic. Lower dust and quieter.

i was told to go ceramic.. i trust my break man so i didnt ask questions... i think he mentioned the less dusty part and the less noise.. not really sure..

i got ceramic.. i believe the brand is called thermo-quiet.. check it out.. ceramic i beleive holds the heat from the rotors better.. something like that..

Yes - ceramic is better.

I run the Porterfield Racing Dustless Carbon Kevlar Pads (R4-S High Performance Street and Autocross).

IMHO - buy the best brakes and tires you can afford - as it makes the most improvement to the car's handling.

Quick i know u ran CC rotorworks drilled crossed, and the porterfield pads,, how u like that setup?

how was the dust and how quiet was it?

no dust at all

the combo I run right now (with the rotors, pads, dot4 fluid, brake vents) is the best I have managed to get it.

Would it make sense to install the ceramic brake pads even though I use stock rotors? I am so tired of cleaning up the brake dust on my rims - I wash the car; drive it 10 miles, or less, and have to rewash the rims. If this is a good move, where is the best place to purchase (at the best price), and what should they cost?

that is what I run on my other car.

power slotted rotors and
morse ceramic pads
