Hey Guys Got a Problem Bought my mark with a 5 spd already in it its a 93 svt cobra tranny and know the mount is gone so do i buy a cobra mount or is the stock mark mount used Thanks.

You'll need the Cobra mount, I believe.

The stock Mark VII Automatic mount will work fine. Bolts and all.

If you are running a fox mustang double humped xmember you need the fox stang mounts. If stock lincoln xmember, stock lincoln mounts. Contact Paul @ SVPU.com, he just had some specially made Energy Suspension Polyurethane mounts made up in red or black for mark vii's.

Top quality piece and i could definitely feel an improvement at the shifter with my tremec.

Sounds good, I should get some.
A couple years ago, I asked SVPU how they made the custom molded center console peice for their T5 Mark, or if I could buy one from them. He replied something about that they couldn't because different cars have different fitment.

lol...I thought what an insincere reply that was. The tranny can only bolt into one place...duh! He could've just said he didn't want to.

Dfferent five speeds - the tremec & t5 have different shifter locations. Different options for shifter locations, different options for shifters, different options for shift handles, different options for 84-89 trim and 90-92 trim, ever think about that? Pauls a stand up guy but can come off short on some of his replies, he does not care much about mark vii's anymore. No doubt he could have, but i'm sure his time and effort would definitely outweight the price he could get...just not worth it i guess.

Thanks for the reply... Oh, don't get me wrong, I hear ya! I'm sure he is a stand up guy; he's done some wonderful things. Hell, most of us stand-up comics do tend to come off a little short at times.

I was specific that it was a t5. But I've never read anything about different shifter locations when converting a mustang to a tremec. Only different bellhousing. I really don't think there's a change in stick spot. Are you sure about this? Now I'm curious.
Different trim options?..sure. But I asked about the one in the photo. I see now that it wasn't custom molded at all. Just a smooth cut.
Not a big deal. This project car is coming to completion 10yrs later and that's just one other thing I'll have to tackle myself.

They are very close, but not exact. For example my tremec has 3 different locations you can put a shifter. Not to mention they made four speed toploaders too. Different handles and shifters move the handle around just so slightly.

Oh, Great info, thanks, mate.
I'll probably have to switch to a tremec before long. Once this 347 goes in, I doubt the T5 is going to last. lol.

Lol, thats true. I had to get a tremec tko 600. I knew the engine i'm building would need it. Luckily, I found and bought a 351w block this weekend. Thinkin a TT393 Stroker motor is in store.

Awwe sh*t! That'll be an awesome powersource, mate! Woah! Well, so long as you don't live in Florida, I won't feel the need to go better.
That'll be a kick-arse motor!

Wait... . Josh has to come in here and wish you "good luck getting all that HP to the rear wheels." .

Josh.

Please let us know of the progress!

He'll definitely need to beef up the rear if he doesn't want to puke the stocker.

LOL, i'm not worried bout getting ALL the HP to the rearwheels...i'm gonna have to worry about keeping the fronts on the ground.

Really??

Derr, i've got a whole complete mark vii rear (for free) that is sitting waiting to get built. Moser 31 Spline Axles, 4.10's, rebuild, TL, etc etc. Have some of it, others are on its way so i can build and just swap. The rear and motor are the last things that need attention and now i've got em, i just gotta build em. Performance wise that would complete it less subframe connectors and depending how fast i go, a cage. If that doesnt suffice (which it better) i can always mini tub it, coilovers, and toss the spare ford 9" rear i have laying around . That'll get it done, for sure.

Oh...ummm, okay nevermind.

Hell, we didn't know you building a Nascar.
