I'm now 51 with a '96 Conti; her name is Lolita (the Lincoln, who seduced me away form my old Imperial); I was a child of 49 when I brought her home. She had 79,000 miles on the clock at the time; today she's at 118,000 and my wife has claimed her and I'm back in my old Imp. Happily, all four of us are still functioning, though by far Lolita is in better shape than any of the rest of us.

Posted by: 95CrownVictoriaP74

I was 16 at the time....it was 1994 and I had a 1989 Continental Signature...had 93,460 miles when I bought it....drove it to 196,000 miles (over $12,500 in repairs later) and I sold it to some guy. The car ended up "disappearing" two weeks later.

After that nightmare, this is what I had and/or still have:

1995 Ford Crown Victoria - 83k to 262k - 06/98-04/05 -sold
2000 Ford Crown Victoria - 14k to 62k - 03/01-12/05 - sold
1997 Ford Crown Victoria - 131k, now 146k - 01/04 - still retain
2004 Ford Crown Victoria - 15k, now 34k - 02/05 - still retain
2003 Lincoln Town Car - 33k, now 36k, 11/06 - still retain

Geez am I the oldest person on here! 60 and driving a 97 conti. I just bought it two months ago and I'm already in love. The conti or the Town Car has always been a dream car of mine and since having the conti I wouldn't trade it for a Town Car ever.

I'm 51. I was 49 when I bought my baby, a '93 Conti Signature which was purchased new by my sister-inn-law. I loved it the first time I ever saw it. All power. Factory CD. Moon roof. Leather. The only thing I've done to her is a set of Strutmasters (tightens ride but handling is great!) and a K&N air filter.

Her father bought it when she got a '99 Town Car. He got the Town Car when she bought a KIA Allante (ugh!). I bought the Conti. My mother-in-law still has the Town Car, which only has 36K on the clock. Can you guess what I'm gonna do when she stops driving it?

I should have added that the folks at Snyper are working on getting me a template that I can use based on the program that is in my PCM now, which should cover a lot of late model Continentals. As more of you purchase one, there will be more templates available.

Age 66 1997 Connie with carriage top and rack on trunk along with chrome over each wheel well. Nice sporty looking configuration, in super shape and recently purchased from my cousin who is my age (a day older). His wife inherited the Connie when her father passed away in 2003. The Connie replaces a 1993 3.8 Merc Sable wagon I had. Obviously, there's no comparison, and the Connie gets better gas mileage!

My other vehicles are a 2000 Toyota Sienna and a 1996 Avalon - two great, reliable cars - but neither turns me and my wife on like the Connie does.

For your info: The average age of a Lincoln/Marquis/Crown Vic/Caddie/Buick owner is 66. For those lincoln, etc. owners who are younger, give yourselves a pat on the back - you appreciate the ride, power, looks and comfort that these cars have always offered.

Happy driving!
