the bad thing is that on many LSs it is the boots that are bad not the coil itself. The steps in the TSB clearly states that the shop should tst the coil first..

Yes coils do go bad but I learned the aforementioned fact from the fine folks at 5 star.

i have never seen/experienced any bad boots. when i changed all 8 of my coils.. none of my boots were bad.

i have about 63k miles. i changed my coils at 60k


but i guess ya learn something new everyday. i'll try to get my hands on the boots.
