That seems to be a common practice at most body shops. I saw the painter I use do the same thing one day. I was there picking up grilles and the car he was painting didn't have any glass in it. He was hosing it down to start fine sanding on it. I said, "dude, you're getting the inside of the car wet". He replied, "don't matter, once in the paint booth and I turn on the heat it'll dry up. Plus it ain't my car!". I said "sh!t"!

You never know what happens to your car when you leave it at places like that. However, he's a cool painter and said that each car gets a full detail in and out before it gets delivered to the customer.

Looks great!!

Who's the girl washin the car? You??

Lookin good. I love em in black. Can you post a good pic of the front grille once you get it back in your hands. It looks like you've painted the factory grille black, or maybe it came that way. I see a couple of the pics that show the grille, but the best one is kinda fuzzy. I've been thinkin of doing that to mine but I can't find any pics of a factory grille that has been done.

Posted by: siddymae

yea thats my factory grill. and no the girl is not me, im fat. but anyway they were taping off the door so water wouldnt get inside.

damnit yall im so excited i cant wait to get it back

Posted by: siddymae

is this a better pic of the grille?

Posted by: siddymae

oh an check out the kid with the man titties.

Posted by: itsnotmydaddys

how much are they charging you to do this

Posted by: chr0me

real nice, yeaaa u gotta lower that a lil bit
lookin good tho

Posted by: Boomhower

Looks real good. I think I'll go with that. I like a car blacked out with just a little chrome, and I like the factory waterfall grille, just needs to be black like you have it. That's what I love about the Sport LSE package. Thanks for the pic...

PS. and don't make fun of man boobies!!

Yo! I saw you on Alcoa Highway this evening. The LSE is looking good. As for the lower part of your grille it is a slate grey instead of black. I have the black part for that grille if you want to come over and get it. You don't have to paint it.

Posted by: siddymae

all i payed for was the paint so all together i paid 452.00 labor is free since it is a school

My roomate is a body shop manager. Take all the advantages you can girl . . . I swapped motors in his Cutlass and gave him a set of tires and rims off of a car I wrecked racing. Now I get the payback! I love the all black look. Congrats and keep up the good work.

Lookin' Good - I like the black grille and rear license surround too....
