brentalan from NJ is coming. He's going to fly in or you could contact him and both drive together.
I've been trying to coax Scott9050 to come. Again if a few guys from out east would like to car pool and share the gas money.
For lodging follow the link in the first post to the Meet Thread. Members may camp in my back yard if you like camping. Otherwise members are booking at Fennimore Hills - Phone # and website in Meet Thread. But if you are going to stay at Fennimore Hills book early like Now as the area Motels are filling up. The meet is not in a large metropolitan area. Largest City with in 30 miles is about 5,000 people I think they also counted a few dos and cats to get 5,000 LOL... This is going to be a fun time with concerts in the park, car cruise, and just a bunch of LvC fun! Even Debi will have fun at this meet... You know Mattress - I mean MsM8tress.. Sorry Debi.... LOL... Read the meet thread and start joining in the excitement for this summer.
Posted by: pepperman
I agree we need to get Scott9050 to show up at the meet that would be so cool
Posted by: n8bachelor
I am in northwest AR and would love the chance to attend. Where's it going to be?
Posted by: pepperman
It is going to be in Boscobel, Wisconsin where mespock lives and you are more than welcome to be there. Make plans and book a room, look foward to seeing you there

I need to show him where his car hit the deer LOL....
n8bachelor would love to have you at the meet. I've given ample time to plan so those from a bit further could pan for the trip.
Pepperman is flying into Milwaukee on Thursday July 13th I'm picking him up there. Conti94, Jibit, and Ms8tress are willing to pick someone up at O'hare on Friday before they leave for the meet. Again PM them and coodinate transportation for those who would like to fly in.
I'd be willing to make one more pick up in Madison Wisconsin's Dane County Air Port on Friday Morning if anyone wants to land there.
Oh and thanks Mike don't know how the two theads got posted. I only remember putting up one. LOL
Posted by: pepperman
Come on people plan on being at the meet, I am so looking foward to seeing everyone.
Posted by: 94m5
I can travel to pick people up also......
The quad cities Ia, has a decent sized airport which is on the way.....along with Springfield Ilinois which is only 40 miles away from here. I'll prolly be bringing 2 cars,(95' & 98') but if needed Ill bring the 94' as long as something can be worked out on gas between everyone.
3 cars can get kind of expensive to fuel for a collective 1800 miles.
Posted by: Conti94
If anyone is flying into O'hare, and needs a ride up to WIS. I will be able to pick you up no problem. If you are in need of a ride to Boscobel from Chicago let me know. Send me a pm we can work something out.
Posted by: pepperman
People the transport is there, so plan on being at the meet

I talked with Freefaller the other day on the phone. He has been busy lately, and dot repositioned on the base to a place lacking in computers. He asked me to PM him this thread, and we will work something out.
The way it sounded, he will be driving up to Beardstown, and riding with us from here. He wanted me to tell you guys Hi.

I was contacted by St. Jude's Hospital today to organize a Motorcycle Ride for a fundraiser.
I thought that seeing we are planning a cruise that maybe we could turn it into a fund raiser of a sort. What are your thoughts? My thought would be that we ask for a $5.00 donation to all who are involved in the cruise. If we get a 100 cars as the guy who is organizing the cruise claim he may get. That would be a nice donation. Anyone who want could donate more.
Then at the park where the cars will be shown we could set up a donation drop for anyone stopping through.
We don't have to do this but then again we can. Any thoughts? Post or send me a PM.
Posted by: pepperman
That sounds like an excellent idea Rich, I am all for it
Posted by: pepperman
Scoot9050, You are invited to the meet in July at Rich's place in Boscobel, look foward to seeing you there.
Posted by: mespock
The feedback has been great! So far we have people planning on coming from AZ, OK, MO, IL, MI, OH, and NJ... There are some tentatives from RI, AR, and MD.
Wow! fantastic those who have already booked rooms and flights.
There is room in my back yard for those who want to save a buck and camp. (This could be wild LOL with those who are already planning on camping)..
We are making arrangements for those who would like to attend but save on driving by flying into Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison WI, and Springfield IL.
Posted by: 94m5
Not only that, but I can pick people up as long as it's halfway "on the way"
Mike
Posted by: 94m5
The cruise donation sounds like a good idea rich. I've had some family members taken care of up there before.

Hey Pepps, Mike made this thread sticky so it doesn't need anymore bumps!!!
LOL...
Hey Everyone! this going to be Pepps first meet. He's been anxious to get to a meet for a long time. Let make this the best and biggest LvC gathering and the first National LvC meet.
So far we have people coming from the Northeast, Midwest, Centeral, and Western Chapters. Let's get to know our LvC members.
I have found it so interesting and fun getting to know the people I post with. I have made so many good friendships.
What I have also found that I have so many people I can meet when I travel places. It makes the US a much smaller place.

Sometimes i can't help myself Rich

Talked to another car group in town. Looks like they are interested in come on the cruise. Classic Street Rods!! These guys will be cool if they come, and I am guessing they will they love a good time.

Hook up with Serg as he's coming from Detroit. Guys could cruise in together or with Debi Could meet her in Chi with her line of cars. It would be great to see you all come in together. That would be wild...
Please Note the Sands Motel, and River Inn are booked Solid. Fennimore Hills is the closest place still with rooms and they'll fill up fast.
Can't believe Pepps is not 1st on the list LOL... Pepps you're snoozing!!

Ya know what.
A quick wash/dry before we hit the scene may not be a bad idea for our line-up - but you HAVE to have a Digi ready.
That would be really bad-ass. Debi - your driving, I plan on driving mine (Haven't taken her on a long trip) and Maybe Serg will be driving or ridin' with me/debi? Don't know but that IS a bad-ass idea.
Thanks-I've been 'relieved' from that mental image...
Posted by: pepperman
Serg will probably be driving his Mark VIII to the meet join the caravan going to the meet. Debi is going to pick up Brent so i don't think she will get lost, Sorry Debi I just couldn't resist it hehehe
Posted by: mespock
Talked today with the Hot Rod group and they said that they are in for the Cruise. This will be very cool.
I'm getting the T-Bird back up to drivable status so anyone who wants to drive and not be a rider during the cruise can use her.
Keep up the good work Pepps...
Posted by: pepperman
Rich, I want to drive the T-Bird since i won't have one of my Lincolns there

Gosh Rockford you are only about 2 hours away!! Won't take you long at all!!
I-90 to Hwy 12 & 18 West at Madison, follow Hwy 18 to Fennimore Hwy 18 Joins Hwy 61 on Main street of Fennimore. Follow Hwy 61 about 10 miles to Boscobel.
That's all for you!!
But that's great that you are going to be able to make the meet.
I should pick you up when I go to the meets in Chicago.
Posted by: mespock
This is very important information for the July meet!!!!
If you are intending on coming to the meet and do not want to camp in my back yard and want a motel.
Please call the Fennimore Hills motel Now!!!
My ex-in-laws use to run a motel in the area. We use to watch people being turned away on weekends in the summer because they didn't have rooms.
Motels in this area have 20 to 30 rooms. Most towns have 1 or 2 motels (these are the bid cities of 3000+ populations). The rest don't have motels and if they do they are dumps (worse than a tent in my back yard).
We would call around to area motels to find rooms for the people that were being turned away. Many times we would have to send these people 50 to 100 miles away from there destination.
im guessing that boscoble is so small i can find your house with no probs or just look for a sea of markviii!!!!

Coming in from the south turn Right at the Dairy Queen... Go about 0.5 to 0.75 miles look for a bunch of Lincolns!!
Coming from the north turn Left at the Dairy Queen... Go about 0.5 to 0.75 miles look for a bunch of Lincolns!!
Hey Everyone Chickenviii has found that the Fennimore Hills is booked solid for Saturday the 15th. If you have extra room in your room and want to split cost. Let members know.
Also the next closet place with more motels is Prairie Du Chein about 30 miles away. They have a few more motels due to the casino in the area. I'll check on places and post phone numbers.
Otherwise I talked to the local police. There is no limit on the number of tents I can put in my back yard. Only issue would be noise for the neighbors. I have a large back yard and noise shouldn't be an issue for most neighbors. Just let me know if you want to camp. I have one tent spoken for and one still available. Just PM me to claim it.
I'd put more in my house but I've got that filled also, with Brent, Pepperman, and Debi...

I thought that seeing we are planning a cruise that maybe we could turn it into a fund raiser of a sort. What are your thoughts? That would be a nice donation. Anyone who want could donate more.

You can check with Torquemonkey about the ride in as he will be flying in from AZ.
As for a Fundraiser, I was contacted by Children's Hospital about doing a fundraiser for bikers. I don't have the time right now to do this. But I agree a fundraiser would be a great idea.
Personally I'd like the Fundraiser to go to something local. But I'm up for suggestions on this. I will also have to talk with the other groups involved as to how they feel about a Fundraiser. Let's keep the communication on the Fundraiser open as I don't think any place that accepts charity would ever turn down money (so we have a lot of time to work this idea out).
Thanks chickenviii can't wait to meet you in July...

Well as you all know by now Pepperman is confirmed!! Pepps will be landing in Chicago on July 13th at about 11:30 AM...

Ok, last Friday I made some suicide burgers! Mmmmm!! where they good.
With my favorite additive Mad Dog 357 (more about the dog below..)
Here's the problem Only Danny (someone you will all meet because Bonn fire and grill will be at his house Friday night) and I would eat them.
I was very nice, cooked all other burgers on one side and made 3 suicide burgers for Danny and I (only 3 because you never know if you are going to get to the second one).
Well I guess cooking them at the same time didn't work because 1st the smoke would burn you lungs a tad bit, and everyone said that their burgers were too hot and most didn't eat them. I even used a separate spatula for their's.
So, Danny thought that seein LvC members liked hot cars they'd love the suicide burgers... mmmmm can't wait.
Ok so here's the info on Mad Dog 357....
357 Mad Dog Hot Sauce
This killer sauce is packing 357,000 Scoville units of heat. One hit will blow you away! 357 Mad Dog is a delicious hot sauce and in fact is just under the legal limit to be called a sauce. A collectors must have!

To give you an idea about how hot Mad Dog is compare it to this very popular sauce you can find in most stores
Dave's Insanity Hot Sauce
(Danny's an my mild sauce)
The Original Hottest Sauce in the Universe! The only sauce to be banned from the National Fiery Foods Show. A great cookin ingredient for sauces, soups and stews. Also, strips waxed floors and removes driveway grease stains. Enjoy! Use this product one drop at a time. Keep away from eyes, pets and children. Not for people with heart/respiratory problems.
Extremely Hot - Use with Caution Heat Scale: 10+ Scoville Units: 51,000 Ingredients include: Tomato sauce, onions, hot pepper extract, hot peppers, vinegar, spices, soy oil, garlic and salt.

I can't wait to try one of those suicide burgers, and some cold Killians.
Posted by: mespock
As long as you are man enough Pepps... LOL...
Better build up a tolerance! Go get some Dave's and practice.
When you can use Dave's like ketchup on a burger then you are ready for Mad Dog and a few small drops on your burger..
Posted by: pepperman
I will get some payday.

Posted by: mespock
Correction on Start time for Cruise. Cruise will start at 1:00 PM the Guy in charge of leading the Cruise works until Noon. So we can bump the morning by 1 hour. That will give more time for the usual LvC morning BS session, and maybe time for Debi to get out of Rehab! LOL.... or at least wake up...
It's time to promote this event and get things really rolling... So...
Let's see who's all coming... I know more than who are signed up have said or committed to coming.
Bring it on!! LvC... Let's Rock Boscobel...

and I'm sure I could find more if need be.
3 members are in my house Pepperman, brentalan, and MsM8tress.
I have one bunk bed available for someone who wouldn't mind a climb.
2 members have found rooms outside Boscobel. chickenviii found a spot at Napps Motel in Fennimore, and torquemonkey is booked at Fennimore Hills
There may be rooms available in
Prairie Du Chien about 30 min. away for those wanting something more comfortable. Also Richland Center, 30 min. away also, may have some rooms still.
You will need to do a motel search of the area for rooms. Remember Boscobel isn't a large Metro area and the closest city with a pop. over 100,000 is 1.5 hrs away.
one with a pop. over 50,000 is 1 hr away. LOL....
Friday - Meet at the Home of Mespock - those camping in back yard some time to set up tents.
Refreshments on the front porch looking unless Pepperman hasn't finished them all off.
Depending upon when everyone or most everyone get here -
7:00 PM - Suicide Burgers and Refreshments at Da Kikers (about 2 miles from my house)
9:00 PM - Those wanting to check out local establishments head to town (Remember Heather is working this weekend - All unrulies are taken to the local Psych Ward for a nice restful stay and counseling - I'm figuring that Debi will be attending). Those wanting to stay and enjoy the fire and company are welcome to stay.

Yes I know the Passengers side caps are backwards but that's the way that side is until I find rims that I like and can afford. So no comments on the wheels being on backwards...
Posted by: pepperman
That Thunderbird does look good very cool, and ah rich i wouldn't have said anything about the passenger side caps being on backwards.

Meet is really shaping up.. Can't wait.. I am working hard to make this a great meet for all...
Members of the Boscobel Chamber of Commerce are excited to see what LvC is all about. So I intend to show them.
If everything works out there should be a welcoming committee waiting for the arrival of the LvC members on Friday... It will be great.
Also my new Mark VIII will be arriving that day also... Can't wait to see her and drive her.
If you can make the meet do so this will be a great LvC Bash!!!
I'm leaving for our cottage and an early 4th of July celebration so I will be off line until Sunday (I know many will Celebrate LOL).... But!! Those coming to the meet It's time to build this in to a great meet!! With all the members coming so far it is a true National LvC meet. We have members coming as far East as New Jersey, and as far West as Arizona, and I am hoping if all goes right as far South as Florida...
We will cover WI, IL, OH, MI, NJ, OK, AZ, and FL eight states.. I am pulling for some from MN, IA, and MO... Let's have some fun.
Next week I'll be posting directions to Boscobel, and to the Friday night Party.
Stay posted.... Let's start the Party LvC....

It will give me an idea when to start the grill up for those suicide burgers... oh and I guess will make some pussy (don't get excited Pepps...you know road kill cats) burgers for the rest of you too... LOL. J/K
It will also give me an idea of what Pepps, Torque and I are going to do on Friday seeing Pepps and Torque will be starting the party on Thrusday!!
Damn!! That might mean that OSU (Ohio State Fans not that other osu team might think they can out party the Badger Fans of UWM) Hmmmm... I doubt that...
We'll have to see how you are feeling Torqu as it would be a shame to miss a trip to state street seeing I'm picking you up in Madison.
I could show you where MonsterMark got kicked out of the Pub... LOL....

I'm starting to think about Friday the 14th's Night's grill out.
What I am going to supply are the Burgers and Buns - if those coming would like to pick up some side dishes (at our local grocery store or on there to Boscobel that would be appreciated), I'll also have some chips but if anyone wants to help out on that front it would also be much appreciated. As for drinks I would ask that we BYOB (Bring your own Beer - or for those under age BYOP). I'll have coolers and fridge for keeping things cold.
Also I have some chairs but depending upon how many members make it those nice fold up chairs fit real easy in the back of a Lincoln or Caddy.
Just thought I'd help with any anticipation.
I'll be posting some pics for Directions shortly. To My house and to the Kikers

Hey Rich, I would love to make a road trip out to your place. I am not sure if I can swing it. My kid graduates Navy Boot Camp in Great Lakes, IL sometime around Sept. The date is not known as of yet. I haven't actually taken the Mark on a long road trip yet. Anyone else from Texas going that way?
Posted by: pepperman
It would be good to see you there GMAN.

would be cool to have you here. Great Lakes isn't too far from where we have our Chicago Meets... maybe 30 mile way.
I'm not sure but I'm guessing we'll be having a meet sometime in August in that area.
