97 STS drivers door lock

I recently bought a 97 STS. After a bout with frozen locks, the drivers door will not open with the key without setting off the security alarm. I assume the lock is damaged. Is there a quick fix to this, or take it to the dealer for a cash drainer. Love the car otherwise!
