Vibrating Passenger Seat

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: beeftallywacker

I have a '01 Sig. On this car, and my old '95 (RIP), the seat would vibrate at high speeds.

Is there anything that I (or a tech) can do to reduce, or eliminate, the vibration? It's more annoying than anything.

Hello
Did you ever jack up the car without disconnecting the battery?air and electric shocks may be out of sink .Or one of your tires could be seperated or need balancing.

Did you make sure all 4 nuts are tight? If so your seat is probally just worn and have to get new ones, and it wouldn't hurt to check what pawman said too.

You can unbolt the seat and insert some rubber insulators (out of sheet rubber or you can use rubber washers). Will help some, but the root cause of the vibration needs to be identified.
