Are the little black plastic fasteners -- used to hold down the radiator cover, for example -- something that is generic and widely available on auto parts stores? Or is it something I have to track down a part number for and order from Ford? They look like a combination screw and mollie and have a raised X on the top.

I got a set of strut covers from LSK and the left one doesn't really fit the 2006. I swiped one of these fasteners and used it in one of the three holes, but I'd like to buy a few of these so I have extras.

those only come from Ford - 4pk - W706519-S3000

the other 'push-in the center' pins are available from AutoZone and Lowes.

Thanks, Quik!

I have the strut covers too. I used one of those "X" fasteners to attach the lip to the body, and I used a loose-fitting black zip tie to hold the top portion. I threaded the zip tie through the two small holes in the cover, and around that thingamajig on the inside. I tightened the zip tie just enough to hold the cover, but not so much as to cause strain on the parts.

Hi Todd,
Do you have the strut covers on the 2006? I can't get my hood closed with the LH cover on and I've got it snugged down as far as I can.

Yes, they both went on to the 2006 car just fine. I can send you a picture of my setup if you like if you send me a PM with your regular email address.
