correct me if i'm wrong, but i read that the police crown vics came with 5.8l 351's. What would it take to put one in my 91 towncar AND keep it street legal in california?

My 92 Grand MArque Police packaged unit had the 4.6. Pretty cool with all the blue silicone hoses, tags on everything that said Police or Limo only.

Must be pre 1990 for the 5.0 and 5.8L?!?!?

I believe the 351 police cars are from the mid '80s. If I'm not mistaken, they dont make much more power than the SOHC 4.6 with dual exhaust. IIRC, the 351 is like 180hp and 290 lb/ft.
