When would anyone recomend changing spark plugs I have 61000 on my 01 ls8? And what kind of plugs should I go with? also i'm going to change my rear brakes pads and replace my rotors this weekend, is there anything special I need to know about doing my brakes. I've done brakes before ,I just don't want to mess up anything with the ABS. and do I loosen my master cylinder
cap when I turn the pistons in?
Thanks

As to the spark plugs, I'll bet when you pull them out they look like new. But I'll bet the gap has widened. You can go buy some new Motorcraft plugs and screw them in, but I'm betting if you regap what you have they will last quite a while yet. But the Motorcraft plugs it calls for aren't that expensive either, so it wouldn't hurt. There is no hp in spark plugs. Just use what Ford recommends and you will be good to go. Don't waste money on exotic plugs that don't do anything...and in fact can cause drivability issues.
