(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: lloydrage

hey how long is the warranty for the 2002 LS? mine has 34K miles on it.

thanks

Posted by: Frogman

Typical Lincoln Warranty is (afaik)

4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes frist

Posted by: 00ls-sport

i believe you are correct. certain things are longer, such as cats...8yr/80k miles.

Is there a longer pwertrain warrenty (to cover the engine, tranny, etc)?

Posted by: 00ls-sport

personally i'm not sure. if no one chimes in tonight, call your local lincoln dealer and they should be able to tell you.

As Frogman said 4/50 I never heard about the cats being diffrent though but in anycase you have 16 thou miles left.

Depends on when the car was sold. Your warranty could be up if the car was sold in January or February.

You can purchase an ESP (Extended Service Plan) from your L/M dealer or online at http://www.genuineservice.com/genuin...?page=esp_home

It is sometimes cheaper at the dealer if purchased at the time of sale. Check your VIN on the ESP website and it will tell you if it already covered by one. I did and discovered mine was covered under a 6yr/75K mile Premier Care warranty. It is good until 01-03-2009 or 75K miles. I called the ESP 800 number and they verified I had purchsed the vehicle from the L/M dealer and switched the warranty infomration into my name. They advised the Premier Care was a CPO Lincoln warranty that stayed with the car.
