my new diff with the 3.58's is being installed as i type. i am having the speedo calibrated saturday. i was gonna have the shift points adjusted as well. any suggestions as to what they should be set to? any other adjustments while we are in there? tia.

xcal 1 by the way if it matters.

Is it possible to adjust the speedo for tire size with the Xcal 1?

Posted by: 00ls-sport

that would be good to know as i run 255/45/17 in dry months and 215-60-16 during winter(coming off tomorrow!!!!).

it is possible to correct the speedo - but the user software (Extreme Tune) is not very good for the XCal 1. Your tuner can do it for you and send you a new file.

The XCal 2 has a better interface - though I have not used the user adjustibility....

I dont know about changing the ratios on the 00-02's because I could never get it to work right. On my 04 it sets off the check engine light.
