hey guys... I don't get too much of a chance to post on here, but will try and keep more up to date with my fellow luxo-barge brothers

anywho... something I noticed and it's somewhat confusing to me. Why so many different forums? To me atleast, I find it difficult to find certin things and think it could be alot more simplified.

I dunno... just a thought. Besides that I think the place looks great and keep up the awesome work guys

I agree Steve. In the beginning, all these Forums were thrown up there to see what would and wouldn't get play. It is probably time to start pruning the forums and condensing/combining some of them to make navigation easier.

Well, Joey.

Already working on it...............

yeah, i totally agree....maybe even go so far as to have a "cadillac" and a "lincoln" forum, instead of one for each model....it seems to me that there isn't enough traffic here to warrent having a seperate form for each model.

but yeah, thats one thing i disliked from day one of being on here was the sheer amount of forums

just my 2 cents

Traffic is growing every day. Trust me, traffic will DOUBLE in the next 6 months. Believe it or not, we got over 3 million hits last month. The only thing that concerns me is that we really need the caddy people more active. we have about 200 caddy owners registered, just need to get them talking more. So please caddy people, as you read this, please deliberately try to be more active in the caddy-specific forums - that will encourage other caddy people to post in those forums too, increasing that traffic.

I think I can reduce the number of forums by about 20-25% without much problem. I'm also going to move them around a little - and consolidate them a little. Baiscally make them a little more user friendly.

For example -- Paint & body shop, - wheels, tires & rims - auto detailing ---those three can be combined into one forum. Reports reiews and articles can be dropped completey, so can the member rides, since we have the photo garage.

As you have noticed, my big project right now is to reimage the site - geno and I are working hard on new features, enhanced features, new graphics to give the site an identity, a feel.

Long story short, we started this site almost 6 months ago. At first, we sort of through things against the wall looking to see what would stick. We have a better idea now and are moving into the fine tuning.

Also - anyone having trouble having to scroll the page left to right, see THIS post.

hey....don't get me wrong....I LOVE this site, and I do appreciate the work you have put into to it. It is very well thought out and is a great resorce for us caddy/lincoln owners. It was just a personal opinion...another caddy forum I visit, just has one section for all models to ask tech questions, post ideas, etc...and they have a TON of traffic and I find that easier....plus, since alot of the models are very similar, ideas/methods can be used for many different cars. But thats just me, and my silly opinion.

And I second the call to other caddy owners:

"Come out, Come out, wherever you are...."

Thats what makes sites like this work, a bunch of people running there mouths and pretty soon you have a weath of very valuable resorces. I will do my part to contribute all I can.

Anyway, again, this is a great site and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for LVC, it's truely amazing that this place has only been up for 6 months! THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!

I didnt think you were attacking me or anything davedog. Your criticisms are constructive, and I was merely trying to be informative.

EXACTLY --- I urge ALL members to be as chatty as possible, ESPECIALLY in the tech forums........... But most of all the caddy people. The more you guys talk, the more people that will answer, the bigger the site will grow. We have 733 members as I write this - and thats increasing by about 100 members a month. A little math. One of the more popular caddy sites out there has about 1 thread per member after 2 years. We have 2.5 threads per member after 6 months! SO we're moving forward, thatnks mostly to all of you.

SO keep the construuctive criticsms coming! I cant fix everything everyone might think can be better, but I sure try. COmpliments are wonderful, and I thank yoou for them, but please -- the constructive criticsms are what I need and use to make things better.
