hood strunts

How do you get the thick `C` clips back on ?? right now I have all 4 off , the struts are just sitting on the ball studs

Typically when you pry out the clips you do not take them all the way off, just enough to get them out past the widest part of the retaining ball. But if they do pop off, just put one side on enough to catch it & with either needle nose pliers or any thing that is small & will grip streach the other end on, again just enough to get a grip. Then, with the hydraulic arm in place, tap the clip in & it should pop back in place. May take a couple tries to fine tune the technique. Good luck, Ed
