Idle wont come down

Well I just did the airbox mod and cleaned and oiled the k&n filter. And now the idle doesnt come down below 2000 when idling. So i took it out for a ride and it drops down a little in gear when sitting at a stop sign it comes to 900 and if you put it in neutral. It feels as if i were on the gas just a tad the whole time its running. On the highway if you let of the gas at 75 the rpms stay at 2k. I dunno whats wrong or what i did but its messed up pretty good. Any ideas on what to do?

did you let the k&n filter dry FULLY if not ive heard that it will fry your maf or if you can get to it tap on the idle air control valve Lightly with a hammer

yeah i dont think it was completely dried out. well guess its time for an lms cold air intake.

try cleaning your MAF, sometimes people oil them too much and it gets all over the MAF. Sometimes it'll make it throw codes. Actually, check the TPS, and check your throttle body. make sure the butterfly is closing all the way. You may want to clean it out.

What should i use to clean it?

Posted by: Jibit

The MAF I would use electrical cleaner, its used for electrical components. And just any typical throttle body cleaner will do for the TB
