im sorry i do not know exactly where i should put this but i would like to offer some of the extensive knowledge i have gained about fixing our steering columns especially the problem with the telescope mechanism. so please tell me where i should put it and ill type it out it is sooooo easy as long as your car does not intimidate you ands even if it does i will leave my number so if you get stuck i can help you and if your closr enought to me ill even do it for you. i can say this though the dealer is raping us every time one of us goes for that fix. i had the column out and completely disassembled in 35 mins i havent put it back yet as i am waiting for the part to come(a little oversight shoulda ordered and got part first lol). any way
Eric.

Eric1, why did you need the potentiometer? is it required for this fix or is it something that will most likely break while taking apart my column.

the reason that i ask is that aparently ford doesn't sell this part any more and i'd like to fix my column... but i don't want to get into it to find out i need that potentiometer.

on the other hand, i don't want to bust my butt to get a potentiometer that i don't need.

can you give more details with respect to the potentiometer?

bob
