How do you remove the License plate in front of the car Like on my mark VIII?

Posted by: 67Continental

you can drill out the rivets.

Posted by: mark0101

What are the rivets? and how do I drill it?

Posted by: Lincolns Own

it should have the screws or whatever exposed behind the plate *if u have one on) and then u can unscrew it and take it off

You will have to remove the front plate if you have one on and then drill out the rivets. Just use a drill bit that is a little bit larger than the center hole in the rivet. This will allow the drill bit to work it's magic on the part of the rivet that you can't see. If you select the correct size drill bit, you shouldn't have to "waller" out the hole too much. The head will pop off and then you should be able to push the rivet out from the front of the bumper cover after the front license plate bracket is removed. Push the rivet from the outside in --- you won't be able to pull it out from the front because of how a rivet works. Good luck and if you have any other questions, just let me know.
