just Got my Octastars

Thanks to Jeb(lsc8) I have Octastars.

The 10 spoke did look more sporty but the Octastars make it look more luxury.

I will have better pics Tomorrow.

I don't know what to do with the 10 spoke because they are warpped, Thats the main reason I bought the Octastars. It was raining all day today So I will pics soon.

Glad they arrived in good shape Omer.

The boxes were a little "redneckish" but hopefully they did thier intended job.

Its a MarkVIII thing, you wouldn't understand, JK. I'm not so big on them, but they are somewhat rare and they seem to be the stock choice to be unique.

I never was a big fan of the Octastars, but they kinda grow on you, and make the Mark look different than all the ones with 10 spokes, plus the chrome usually doesnt bubble and crack like the 10 spokes.

of course i must of gotten the crapy set of octastars from the factory cuz mine blistered and peeled and looked like crap so i got t-bird sport rims diag 5 spoke (not the v-6 split 5 spoke) but the super coupe rims and i think they look great and best of all the stock tires fit so yea no new tires to buy!!!!

personaly im not too big on the octostars, kinda look old manish. but thats only my 2 cents. why do the 10 spokes bubble??? factory defect?

Chromer's bad process.I think mosture and stuff gets into the cap area and it starts from there. Stupid Mechs who use impact guns and dont use torque wrenches to put the lug nuts on contribute to the issue. I have 3 crap chrome 10 spokes and one that is show perfect (never replaced that I know of) - go figure.

I am on the fence on this one. I like the chrome 10 spoke and the Octastars.

I saw some silver Octastars when I was in Texas last summer on an silver 98 base model - not chrome they looked pretty cool - guess cause they were different. They were not painted - even looked like a factory finish. Could have been powder coated.

Either way I am torn - my 10 spoke are peeling and not sure If I want to get another set of 10 spokes or stars?

I don't think the Octastars came without chrome.

This got me to thinkin'. When I was looking for a set of stars after I saw theone in Texas I came across a site that had the silver ones for sale. I cant remember the site but I took a screen shot. I will see if I can find the URl. There is nothing in the parts books to support this, but just curious now.
