Ray switch kits now available.....

For those of you that were interested in purchasing some lowering kits from me, I have enuf parts available to make 8 upgraded kits. Here is the definitions of the 2 kits that I offer.....

Now, I offer 2 different kits......the basic kit, and an 'upgraded' kit. Here are the differences.

Basic Kit
You can drop the car via a switch that you can locate anywhere you want in your car (up to you). You hit the switch and the kit takes over and opens up the vents at each suspension airbag, and the vent in the compressor allowing all of the air out of the suspension airbags. For you to install the basic kit you will need a pair of pliers, a flat blade screwdriver, a 7MM socket/1/4 inch ratchet, and depending on where you put the switch will depend on other tools you will need. The pliers are to crimp the connectors (connectors that I provide) to the wires for power/ground and the vents for the bags/compressor. The last thing you will need is a 10 amp fuse......a regular blade style fuse. The price for this kit is $35 shipping included.

'Upgraded' Kit
Exactly the same as the other kit, but with the other kit when the car is slammed on the ground the only way to get it to come up off of the ground is to restart the car to allow the compressor to kick back in.....no matter how fast or slow you are going the car will not come back up off of the ground unless you restart the car. With this kit you simply have to be going under 30 MPH and hit the same switch for about 5-7 seconds, in the opposite direction as the way you move the switch to lower the car and the compressor will kick back in and raise the car. The price for this kit is $42 shipping included.

Would it be possible for me to use a two position switch of my own choice (I am putting in a few other switched items and I want them to match)? Would this eliminate the need for me to hold the switch up for 5 seconds to get the suspension to go back up? In other words, can "up" be suspension up and "down" be suspension down? Also, when the suspension is "up" are the bags fully inflated, or are they at normal height?

You can put whatever switch you want to. If you want, you can send me the switch and I can use it in the kit, that way when it comes to your house it is ready to install.

The reason behind having to hold the switch down for a few seconds is so that the factory suspension computer has sufficient time to realize that the power has been removed thus turning on the compressor and allowing the car to raise back up to normal height (whatever height you have the car set at....factory height, or sensor lowered height). With my kit you can not have the car go above the normal height that you have set (again.....factory height, or sensor lowered height). I do not recommend inflating the bags above what the normal factory height is because you run the risk in blowing a bag if you do not pay attention to the height you are pumping the car up to.

Ray, we need to work something out as far as a kit that will allow you to adjust your ride height from inside the car. I have them on my 95' and would like to have a set in the 98.

*I* can do the wiring myself, but I feel that if someone had acess to a kit like that it would be worth it's weight in gold. Just an idea man.

Does your kit include any instructions, diagrams, etc.? So I will be able to know which wires to splice or w/e i have to do? Would you happen to know of an online source where I can find a diagram in case I might need one?

I supply you with everything you need....including instructions/diagrams (the diagrams are not really necessary because I provide you with the color of the wire, the color of the connector, and where everything is located at). I also provide you with my phone number, so if there is any problems you can call me and I can figure out what the problem actually is. If you need diagrams I have them and can email them to you.

Does this take out the functionality of the factory settings, meaning, does the cancel out the automatic lowering at hwy speed or does the system become completely manual?

This kit (either kit...upgraded or basic) is in conjunction with the factory settings. As long as you have not hit the switch the car functions as it did before you installed the switch. The car does not know that the kit is installed until you hit the switch to allow the air outta the bags.

I cant wait to get mine! How long has it been since you made these kits last? BTW I sensor lowered my car 1.5 inches and it looks nice. It will make it up my driveway too! And I tried getting a ball stud for the height sensor off a junkyard car, but it broke with 2 threads left. Oh well.

Ray ever since I first known about this I wanted it on a 1-10 rating 10 being the hardest what would you rate the install. Also what problems do you have to worriy about just over inflation of the bags?

To me it is like a 2 as far as ease of installation, but I have been a car stereo installer for a number of years.....so that question would be better answered by someone who has installed my kit that has no stereo or even electronics experience.

As far as problems, over inflation is not a concern with my kit because I do not set it up to inflate the bags. To inflate the bags with my kit the factory computer takes over and there is no over inflation. There is only 2 problems that I can think of:

1) If you have any problems with your suspension that you do not already know about (unforseen that is) then this kit could bring that to light. What I mean is, if you have lets say a fold in the factory airbag and is normally covered then this could allow that fold to be made aware of and cause the air to seep outta the bag having the front (most likely the front and not the back) to go to the ground after you walk away from the car.

2) If you have a compressor that is on its way out, then this kit will kill it faster. You have to think about it this way. If your car is not sensor lowered, then after you hit the switch the compressor has to work almost 4 times as much as it would normally when coming off of the highway (car raises up after driving on the highway). Since the compressor has to work that much harder, then it will make an already weak compressor worse, and kill it faster. If your car is sensor lowered, it (being the compressor) will still hafta work more than 2 times what it would normally....again causing the compressor to go out.

switch heres what im looking for. advanced auto autozone pepboys all them have it. switch must be black for the color of the led blue.
heres a pic of what im talkin bout. dosent have to be round square would be aight also.

Sorry man, but that switch is completely useless with this kit. The switch I provide is a momentary on switch that toggles back to the center position. So, even IF it had a LED in it, it would only be lit as long as you hold the switch in that position......

So, I am assuming that when you shut the car off and turn it back on, the car resets back to the factory ride height. Meaning that everytime you get in the car you will have to manually lower the car, to the ride height of your choice.

Yes, and no. Yes, if you get the basic kit you will hafta restart the car for the factory system to take over and pump back up.

No, with the kit it is either stock height or slammed to the ground. There is no inbetween with my kit. You hit the switch on my kit it opens all the vent solenoids on the bags and the vent in the compressor and slams the car to the ground. So, there is no inbetween.....all the way up, or all the way down.

For those of you that have already sent me money, or have money on the way....you guys/gals are aight. I am NO LONGER after this run making the kits again. This run is it, if you want one get your questions in now, and if they are answered the way you want, and you want a kit get your money in. By the end of this month I will no longer be building these kits ever again. So, if you want one lemme know now and get your order in. February 28th is the LAST day I will accept orders for the kits I build.....sorry if this sucks for some ppl, but it is not worth my time (even though I am not working).

Sawweeet! Well I installed my kit today in the freezing cold. Fu(kin worth it though. Easy as the flip of a switch, and well....... using a pair of pliers, wire stripper, hand held drill, and maybe a few torx bits. When I hit the switch and saw it drop.....Dizaaammnnnn! It looked TIGHT! Haha! Well anyway, you people are probably dieing to see some pics. Here they are folks!

I will have much better ones tommorow.

Oh yeah and Ray, I found out why the brake light was lite up! I must have pushed the emergency brake down sometime during the installation.

Here are a few pics of my car cleaned up and dropped. Some of you may think that these kits are hard to install, but on a scale from 1 to 10. Id rate this a 2. 10 being the hardest. The most difficult part of the install was getting my hands and tools into the tight space under the glove compartment. Also getting the t-taps on the wires while they are very closely located makes it frustrating. I get 10 times more stares when im parked or pull out of a parking space. This kit is definitely worth the $35 or $42 depending on which kit you buy.

You basically just T-tap a sh1t load of wires and depending on if you buy the upgraded kit, you will have to cut two wires.
