Low MPG.....

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

The digital computer in my LS states I'm getting 11.8 miles to the gallon, and the way I'm going through gas I believe it. The car seems to be running fine, so I don't know what might be causing it. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm putting it in the shop in two weeks to get the brakes done as well as the power steering looked at. Can they just hook it up to a computer and find out the problem?

For a charge I'm sure they can.
You sure you have the same power you've always had? I was once running on 6 spark plugs(V8).....

11.8 seems low, unless you're romping it all the time.

First thing I'd check is your foot. It might be a bit heavy. Heheh. After that, I'd suspect filters. But if there's a sensor/injector problem that's contributing to the poor fuel mileage, the dealer should be able to diagnose this with their equipment, yes.

Hope you find the fault soon.

Best,

Thanks Clown. My foot isn't too too bad. So I'm thinking it's probably not that. Hopefully it's just a simple fix.
