The New Mark?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Well, I just came from the Houston Auto Show. I talked to the product specialists showing off the cars. Lincoln is definately going smaller. Lincoln is coming out with an SUV called the MK X. Lincoln will be concentrating mainly on just luxury leaving the performance to Ford. This also the last year for the LS. They will also discontinue the Town Car. I was told by a Ford Executive the Mark VIII will become valuable in another eight years. Much like the way the 70's cars have appreciated in value. I was thinking of seriously selling my Mark, now, I just don't know.

Welcome to last year. This is a Mark X, not roman numeral, but X as in AWD. No one knows what their plans are for a new coupe. Whatever they come out with, it's going to be nothing we're used to anyway.

It replaces the LS. The Towncar will remain in production, along with the Crown Vic and Grand Marquis, until at least 2010.

Well, the LS section will be just like our section. Another discontinued line.

You can stop whining whenever you feel like it

HarsH! Haha. Feel some tension there, I honestly am considering selling mine or just re-doing the whole car. It needs work, definently doesn't put a smile on my face. Paint, wheels and tires, some engine/exhaust change and I'll be happy.

The Mark S concept has a 315 HP V8. I hope this doesn't mean it won't be put into production.

that Mark X looks like a toyota a little bit as well as the lexus truck. and the Mark S almost looks like an import as well..

The MK S looks very much like the G35 Sedan...

It still does look bitchin... no Mark VIII... but nice. The grills i guess you could call them on the front fenders look totally sweet.

First one Sucks big time. That's no Mark! Thats a car for a yuppie mom!

Second one! better lose a set of doors... Only GM people need 4 doors!!

Well the 2nd one wont be produced... I turned on nbc or something the other day right 1 min later they were talking about that lincoln the one that looks like the acura tl... And its called a teaser vehicle.... they went to explain what teaser meant with the definition of "concept cars are cars taht could get produced and teasers will never be produced." So guess theres no mark s coming to production. I actually like that car too.

2nd one looks like the Zephyr.
